Tactical to Practical
There is a disconnect between firearm training available today and what truly works in an emergency. There are many good programs who teach military or law enforcement shooting or competitive shooting techniques. But most of what is taught in these programs is irrelevant to private gun owners and has little to do with practical personal protection.
This is due to the following significant differences between what law-abiding private citizens and military or law enforcement do:
- Military and law enforcement follow Rules of Engagement (RoE) that are specific to them, private citizens must follow completely different rules.
- Soldiers and police officers wear body armor and have a variety of use of force options, multiple weapons, and can call for backup, private citizens do not.
- Soldiers and police officers have a clear legal standing and the color of authority before, during, and after every engagement, private citizens do not.
Ask yourself, what good is your training if you cannot apply it? If you are a private citizen, you should not train for an armed engagement the same way police and military do.
The way we train is the way we respond in a life-threatening emergency. Our firearm training programs are bridging the gap between reality and range practice and teach sound tactics and techniques that will keep you alive and out of jail.
